About Me
Hi, I’m Bridget. A quiet note-taker, lifelong learner, animal companion, and the soul behind Peak Talk.
I often say I’m “interested in a lot of things but good at none” – but I’ve learned to embrace that curiosity as a gift. This blog is where I gather thoughts from books, life, things I’m learning (or unlearning), and all the in-between spaces that never quite fit into neat categories.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the quiet ones—especially animals. Over the years, I’ve rescued dozens of stray cats and dogs. Some found loving homes. Others stayed, and we found a kind of home in each other. They have taught me about patience, grief, joy, and unconditional love in ways no one ever could.
This space is a gentle mix of reflection, instinct, and memory. A place for scribbles, half-formed thoughts, and the kind of feelings that are hard to say out loud. It’s named Peak Talk because I write from the quieter peaks of life—those moments when everything feels clear, even if just for a breath.
My Companions

These stories, these companions, these quiet observations—they shape the way I move through the world. Writing them down helps me make sense of things. Maybe reading them will do something similar for you.
Thank you for spending a moment here with me.
